Joint Seminar with GS1 HK

In order to help industry practitioners updating their industry knowledges and trends, BPS Global organized a joint seminar with GS1 HK on 6 August 2019 (Friday). There are 4 speakers in the seminar, Ir. Kelvin Ko, BPS Global Group Vice President and Head of Logistics Technology; Mr. Min Zhao, Project Director of Mujin Inc.; Dr. Jun Zhang, Vice President of WhaleHouse Ltd; Ms. Heidi Ho, Principal Consultant of GS1 HK.

The seminar was being held at SME One of HKPC Building which was located in Kowloon Tong.  With the supporting of industry practitioners, our registration was very aggressive. The attendance reached over 95%. Thank you very much for those who support us!

The seminar starts from Ir. Kelvin Ko, whose topic “The Rise of Logistics Technology - Opportunities and Trend”, introducing the trend of logistics automation technology and the challenges and opportunities faced by the industry.  It also introduced some of the latest innovations and technologies that were both practical and affordable for the industry. Then Mr. Zhao Min, with “Case Study on the World’s First Fully Automated Warehouse” topic, through case study of JD Logistic, introducing introducing how industrial robots applied to warehouse to achieve total logistics automation.  Next, it was Dr. Zhang Jun‘s present, his topic “Case study in Picking Spider System”, through case study explaining how Picking Spider System improved the logistic efficiency within a warehouse. Finally, Ms. Heidi Ho, her topic “Supply Chain Transformation” introduced how GS1 services could help on supply chain transformation. There was a break in between, BPS set up a counter for CubiScan. One set of CubiScan 325 was installed and demonstrated to participants, they showed strong interests to it and aggressive to ask questions.
