Sending warmth with hot soup
BPS Global walks into the community and sends blessings to elderlies with nourishing hot soup.
Whilst autumn is approaching, BPS Global sponsored a monthly hot soup service held by Chi Po Neighborhood Elderly Centre YWCA. Our staff also helped serving the elderlies at the venue and had a good time with them.
Since 2014, Chi Po Neighborhood Elderly Centre YWCA has been serving the community by giving out free meals and hot soup at their volunteer canteen. Service recipients are mainly residents of sub-divided flats, solitary elderlies and financially challenged senior citizens. As inflation reaches a new height, the cost of living increases. Those elderlies have to compromise food quality for quantity. They might not be able to afford meat, let alone having nourishing long-boiled soup. A bowl of hot soup and a box of hot meals would bring warmth to them, not just only easing their financial stress.
More blessed to give than to receive. Even in the shadow of the pandemic, our BPS Global volunteer workers still sent happiness to those elderlies in need and received many happy returns!
